What
We Believe
We believe preparedness should protect both the body and the nervous system. Safety should never be rooted in fear, panic, or shame — it should feel grounded, supportive, and accessible.
- Everyone deserves tools that support safety
- Preparedness should embrace emotional well-being.
- Heat protection is a matter of dignity.
- Resilience grows stronger through community care

Meet our Founder
A Healing Place was created by Keshi Satterwhite in response to growing heat stress in communities where resources were often fear-based, overwhelming, or inaccessible to the people who needed them most.
Her work centers on protecting people without panic, honoring dignity, and supporting emotional wellbeing alongside physical safety.
Community Partners
We collaborate with trusted community organizations to ensure our kits reach people who need them most, with dignity and care. These partnerships allow us to share resources, knowledge, and support in ways that are rooted in respect, not charity and strengthen community led resilience together.
